The Phillies reportedly signed reliever Danys Baez today. The deal, again, reportedly, is pending a physical to be taken the first week of January.
Reuben said to expect the Phillies to sign a reliever after Christmas, but they decide to do so on Christmas Eve Eve.
The Phils have reached an agreement with Baez pending a physical. He is 35-49 in his career, with an ERA of 4.04 and 114 saves in 8 years with the Indians, Rays, Dodgers, Braves, and Orioles.
Also interesting to note is that Charlie Manuel managed Baez back in 2001 when both were with the Cleveland Indians.
